How do we access and collect data?

We collect and process information that is necessary to provide, operate, secure, and support Sheet Gurus.

This may include information provided directly by our customers, such as account information, contact information, billing information, business information, and information submitted in connection with messaging registrations or verifications.

When our customers use Sheet Gurus to send or receive text messages, we may also process information about their message recipients on the customer’s behalf. This information may include:

  • Mobile phone numbers
  • SMS or MMS message content
  • Message delivery and activity information
  • Opt-in, consent, and opt-out information
  • Information voluntarily provided by a recipient through a text message

Sheet Gurus processes this information as a service provider on behalf of its customers.

Message content may be accessed or manually reviewed when reasonably necessary to provide customer support, investigate technical issues, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, comply with messaging requirements, or comply with applicable law.

How do we use your data?

We use personal information only for legitimate business purposes related to operating Sheet Gurus, including:

  • Providing and maintaining the Sheet Gurus service
  • Processing and delivering text messages
  • Providing customer support
  • Processing billing and account administration
  • Registering and verifying messaging programs
  • Maintaining records of messaging consent and opt-out activity
  • Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Enforcing our Terms of Service
  • Complying with applicable laws, regulations, carrier requirements, and messaging industry requirements
  • Improving and developing the Sheet Gurus service
  • Communicating with Sheet Gurus customers about their accounts, services, and, where permitted, Sheet Gurus products or offers

Where we process SMS recipient information on behalf of a Sheet Gurus customer, we use that information only as necessary to provide and support the messaging services, comply with applicable requirements, or as otherwise directed by that customer.

We do not use our customers’ SMS recipient phone numbers or messaging opt-in information to market Sheet Gurus products or services directly to those recipients.

How do we store your data?

We use cloud infrastructure and service providers to store and process information necessary to operate Sheet Gurus.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain required business and compliance records, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and comply with applicable legal or regulatory obligations.

Sheet Gurus customers may contact us at

help@sheetgurus.com regarding deletion of their account or personal information. Certain information may need to be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, or messaging compliance purposes.

Deleting information necessary to operate a Sheet Gurus account may result in the closure or loss of functionality of that account.

How do we share your data?

We do not sell or rent personal information collected through Sheet Gurus.

We may disclose information to service providers that process information on our behalf where necessary to operate the service. These providers may include telecommunications and messaging providers, cloud hosting and infrastructure providers, payment processors, security providers, analytics providers, and customer support providers.

These providers are permitted to process information only as necessary to provide services to Sheet Gurus or as otherwise permitted by applicable law.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • Protect the rights, safety, or security of Sheet Gurus, our customers, message recipients, or others
  • Investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms of Service
  • Complete a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection requirements

SMS and Messaging Data

Sheet Gurus provides messaging infrastructure and related services to businesses. When a business uses Sheet Gurus to communicate with its customers or other message recipients, that business is responsible for determining the purposes for which recipient information is collected and used and for obtaining any consent required by applicable law or messaging requirements.

Sheet Gurus processes messaging information on behalf of those businesses in order to provide the Sheet Gurus service.

We do not sell, rent, or transfer SMS recipient phone numbers or text messaging opt-in consent to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

We do not use SMS opt-in information obtained on behalf of one Sheet Gurus customer to send messages on behalf of another customer.

Messaging information may be provided to telecommunications providers, messaging providers, and other service providers where necessary to transmit messages, operate the service, prevent abuse, provide support, or comply with applicable requirements.
